"You're so good at loving people..." He said, wistfully.
I know I am, and so I took the compliment, but what he didn't know, is that I learned how to do that from someone else....
This person took every opportunity to enhance my experience. They sent me links, music, horoscopes, pictures and their thoughts. They taught me to give - generously - of myself.
They taught me that I didn't need to be afraid of being "too much" or "not enough."
"I didn't need to be afraid of being 'too much' or 'not enough.'"
Relationships are like a a back and forth ping pong game.
If someone picks up the ball, pastes glitter onto it, and sends it back, expect to be delighted.
The other day a cute guy I have been seeing sent me Moby's "Im not worried."
It was as if he had suddenly learned to speak my language.
I listened to the song on repeat for a little while and let it carry me as I drove home that night, as I ran and showered the next day, and a few days after while cruising in the car with my friends.
How have you shared yourself and enhanced someone else's experience lately?
